Cutting robot for pipelines

For a robot which is constructed to cut pipelines, 18 meters below the sea level, we have been elected to engineer and manufacture the necessary power drives. There is a hydraulic power unit, an electrical control system, and there are some specific hydraulic cylinders and pivoting rotating drives for driving and moving the robot.

This cutting robot is used in the Marieholmstunnel construction project, which is an immersed tunnel passing under the river Göta älv in the city of Gothenburg Sweden.

Marieholmstunnel is a road tunnel consisting of three lanes in either direction with a service tunnel in the centre with a designed lifetime of 120 years.

Construction time 2014–2020.
