Back-up installations to TBM

About the project:
ATP Hydraulik produced the hydraulic drives for

• the back-up installations to the tunnel boring machine (back-ups 1-5)
• the duct storage cassettes
• the belt tensioning system

Environmental informations:
The safety tunnel along the existing Giessbach motorway tunnel (A8) has a lenght of approx. 3'300 m and a drilling diameter of 5.2 m. The rock heading is carried out mostly declining with an open TBM, starting from the west portal in the direction of east. In total, 10 new emergency exits are built, which connects the road tunnel with accessible cross connections to the safety tunnel.
